These rocks correspond to depositional sequences 6, 7, and 8 of Cook and Corboy (). Unit Dcd is overlain by unit Dc and is depositional on DSc. In White Pine County and most of Elko County, unit DSc is not broken out from unit SOc, hence the Devonian dolomite sequence appears to rest directly on SOc. One of the seven quadrangles in the north Snake Range mapped by Stanford University's Summer Field program. The GIS work was in support of the U. S. Geological Survey COGEOMAP program. The Snake Range, in eastern White Pine County, Nevada, is a km-long, north-trending mountain range in the northern Basin and Range province.
